Stayed here loads over the years and returned yesterday for another business trip.
Friendly reception, no hastle check in and room overlooking the pitch - something you dont get in many hotels!
Apart from the aircon not working and being freezing when I first walked in, I noticed two electric plug in heaters which both got turned on full, and reduced overnight when asleep. Unfortunately they made the hotel room hotter than the Dubai desert in Summer.
Barstaff friendly, shower pressure needs a pump up. Starting to look a bit dated in places but still the prefered stop over for Bolton and Im sure I'll be back soon, hopefully after they fix the aircon

The football grounds i was used to in my youth were usually in the middle of a town, surrounded by back streets and were not in the best of condition. when told that on a business trip we were going to be put up at the (new) Bolton Wanderers ground I did raise my eyebrows ....however ...
A colleague who had stayed here previously gave me ahead up that it was a very good venue was spot on. Easily accessible from the motorway and dead easy to park (PS if you want cheap fuel too fill up at Tescos next door).
Reception most friendly and helpful. Room very spacious, bed huge and comfortable ditto bathroom space-wise.
Breakfast very good - wide choice of traditional English and continental. For the evening meal beforehand I had the black pudding starter really tasty followed by a chunky burger - I'd recommend this highly too.
Pity I didn't have enough time to use the fitness facilities still you can't have it all ...

Stayed there for 2 nights whilst away on business
It's in a great location with plenty of shops restaurants nearby but I ate in the hotel restaurant both nights
Food was really good and reasonably priced and plenty of others eating there probably most there on business too
Only downside was the bed wasn't too comfortable and very noisy seems like it may have been put to use a lot (not by me) and the heating wasn't working so had heaters put in the room but woke up cold during the night
If you are a football fan the room looked directly over the pitch and during match days you can stay in your room get room service and see the full match with uninterrupted views (great for Bolton fans)
Nice big hotel but I think I prefer somewhere a bit smaller and with a bit more emphasis on guests

Ideal location to stay when visiting my family in West Houghton. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Beds comfortable and breakfast was good. Even though there was a football match on we were looked after regarding the parking. It would have been nice to have room with a view ove the football pitch, but hadn't asked for one on booking.

Lovely hotel on the Macron (Reebok) stadium easy to find good parking (non match day) superb clean comfortable room everything you need comfortable lounge bar and brassiere full English breakfast for good price

I came with my granddaughter for a shopping trip. We had a lovely clean room with comfy beds. The staff were very helpful both on the booking and at reception. The hotel is lovely and the breakfast delicious. I shall definitely stay here again.

Great service, average amenities.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Top! Unfortunately, the decor and furnishing of the house seems to be getting old. A renewal would be an advantage.
The water is unfortunately absolutely inedible. So you should also have better mineral water for brushing your teeth.

Comfortable hotel, easy to reach, an excellent solution to the receptivity of the conference rooms. Room with direct views of the stadium

Everything was fine except shortage of hand tissues and the drinking water during the first night. The facilities and the relaxing areas are good. Location, the shopping facilities and the night time restaurants are good.

Bed in room 108 is so noisy and uncomfortable it has made my partners back really sore , springs are gone . Get a new mattress ? It's taken 2-3 days at home for her to get better. Would try beds if ever stayed at the hotel again as we do like location .
