Magdalen College School Sports Reporters Club
Elliot Edwards, Euan Freer, Matthew Houghton, Jacob McWilliams, Daniel Pattinson, Tyler Pearce and Edward Stringfellow have been spending every Tuesday after school developing their sports and literacy skills.
Northampton Saints arranged for them to interview two of their Academy players, Tom Hicks and Scott Armstrong, who answered all their questions honestly and professionally. The group put forward a wide range of questions, from ‘What are your earliest sporting memories?’ to ‘If you could have one super power like Superman, what would it be?’
Then our Sports Reporters took part in a training session with members of the Northampton Saints training team. They played a game of tag rugby, developing their passing skills and learning how to use all the space. Then they practised aggressive tackling using padded bags.
Finally, they were treated to free tickets to watch the Saints V Wasps Premiership game which resulted in an exciting bonus point win of 39-3.
