Shakespeare - enjoy a fantastic experience of open air theatre

The Kirkstall Abbey cloisters was the venue for a series of outdoor performances of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Nights Dream', and 'Much Ado About Nothing'. Whether an existing fan of Shakespeare, or never seen a production - these are suitable for all.

This year tickets could be purchased through the Grand Theatre.

I have seen performances by this touring Shakespeare theatre group in three of the last four summers (they didn't perform at the venue last year and I was very disappointed).  They usually perform 2 of Shakespeares plays and rotate them over different evenings during about a 2 or 3 week period from end July/beginning of August.

They have just moved on to perform in Prague, but make sure you look out for this next year as I would recommend as something not to be missed.
