The international agency of research into cancer has officially linked the use of tanning beds to a high risk of skin cancer. Sunbeds have now been reclassified as a cause of cancer.

Sunbeds are estimated to be the cause of around 100 deaths per year.
Aparently (according to the Cancer Research UK site), using a sunbed once a month or more increases your risk of skin cancer by more than half.
So why do so many people still use sunbeds, and why aren't they put off from using them by these widely publicised findings?
Apart from this risk of skin cancer, tanned skin becomes leathery and wrinkled over time - so why do it?
If you are reading this and use a sunbed regularly, it would be interesting to understand why you would continue in the face of such evidence and advice.
