Bridgend undercover car boot sale is great!
I used to go to car boot sales about ten years ago and then stopped when the clutter threatened to overwhelm me. My other half has remained a stalwart car booter throughout but is very disciplined and buys mainly books and music (we can apparenty always find space for those!)
I joined him recently at Bridgend's Sunday Car Boot Sale and had a really good time.
If you overlook the gloom of the lower floors of the multi-storey car park (near Asda) where the boot sale is held, you will be pleasantly surprised by the range and quality of the goods on offer. I have picked up some fantastic cookery books and china (only allowed to buy this if I know where it is going to go).
The vibe at the boot sale is really good I think ... lots of friendly stall holders who enjoy a bit of a chat and very few dealers.
Barry King of Bridgend Festivals Committee is the driving force behind this event which raises money to help support the other events Barry organises throughout the year. If you thought that the markets and festivals put on in the centre of Bridgend are organised by the council, think again ... it's all down to the hard work of Bridgend Festivals.
