Care UK’s Ladden View, on Fletcher Road, will be opening its doors to the community on Wednesday 27th November, from 2pm-4pm, to join the celebrations, along with some VIP visitors who will cut the ribbon. 

With the first residents having moved into Ladden View in October, everyone at the home is now gearing up to celebrate its official opening. Helping to mark the occasion will be birds of prey and owls from Owl Adventures, which visitors will have the opportunity to meet and have photographs with. 

On arrival, guests will be met by the team in the home’s main reception area, where they can enjoy welcome drinks and canapés. After the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, and announcing the home as officially open, visitors will have the opportunity to find out exactly what life is like at Ladden View.  

Tours of the care home will be available, and visitors will be able to enjoy plenty of fun, family-friendly activities, including a live Caricaturist. 

Care UK team member Rebecca Wright, who gave ‘Ladden View’ its name, will also be in attendance for the ribbon cutting. Rebecca took inspiration from Ladden Garden Village for the naming – the area in which the home will play a vital community role. 

Guests attending the official opening will also have the opportunity to enjoy tasters of the delicious meals on the residents’ menu at Ladden View, specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef. 

To build friendships with the local community ahead of its grand launch event, Ladden View recently participated in the Ladden Garden Village Remembrance Day Walk. The home has also been chosen to host a Purple Poppy Remembrance horse, a statue situated within the Ladden View café for visitors to see, that pays respects to the fallen animals of the war.
