A fantastic £1,000 boost to a school or college prom is being offered by the Glades. For their chance to win the cash for their party, prom-goers simply have to state how they would spend the £1000 to make their big night one to remember – such as hiring a chocolate fountain or an awesome DJ!
Also up for grabs is a fabulous prom makeover that will make one lucky winner the belle or beau of the ball. The style makeover will include a stunning dress or hot tux for the prom, along with accessories, fashion advice, professional hairstyling and make-up. Entries for both prizes can be made online at the competitions page of www.theglades.uk.com.
Those unlucky in the competition can still enjoy the Glades’ Prom Nights event, which takes place from Fri 20 to Sun 22 May. Staged in the shopping mall’s Central Atrium, the event is being launched to meet the increasing demand for ‘black tie’ fashion and style advice for student prom-goers. Said Maria Cooper, Marketing Manager at the Glades, “The prom phenomenon, imported from the US, is spreading like wildfire. Most of our local schools and colleges now hold prom events, allowing students to celebrate the end of their exams and party with their friends before heading off to university, a gap year or their new career. Our brand-new Prom Nights event offers them three days of free tips and styling ideas for their big night out.”
The event will centre around the Glades’ new Style Pod, with integral changing rooms allowing girls to try on fabulous frocks and guys to sample trendy tuxedos. The Glades’ Style Advisor will also be on hand with hot tips on the perfect prom look, plus advice on hairstyling, accessories, shoes and jewellery. Prom-goers can book a free, personal consultation with the Style Advisor in advance at www.theglades.uk.com or just pop in during the event.
