The 3rd - 11th July is nine days of dance celebration, courtesy of the T-Mobile Big Dance 2010.
Numerous dance events in 'unusual places', showcasing a diverse selection of dance styles and cultural events will be taking place across London.
For the 2010 Big Dance, Bromley Mytime is be working in partnership with the Arts Council of England to provide 12 FREE taster workshops across the borough.
Programmed from the 5 – 10 July, these workshops will be led by professional dancers with simple easy to follow routines, followed by a demonstration or performance.
All participants who have taken part in the tasters will be invited to join in a 'Big Workshop' on the 11th July at Crystal Palace Park as part of the Dancing Landscapes event where they will be able to share their new skills in front of a live audience and be part of a number of Big Dance activities taking place across the capital.
Crystal Palace will also host demonstrations and activities in disciplines such as Parkour, Bollywood, Contemporary, Tai Chi, ballroom, Argentinian tango, lindihop, salsa, street and line dancing. Following this exciting event, several short courses will be held across the borough to enable people to participate in a variety of dance styles.
Everyone is invited to join in and 'get into dance’ to have fun, increase fitness levels and generate a legacy of dance for all.
