Lily Vanilli is in its second year. Since starting out two years ago on a stall in an East London market, the bakery has expanded rapidly and now stocks Harrods.
With an emphasis on quality and natural ingredients, Lily Vanilli also works with the Fairtrade Foundation to promote the use of Fairtrade ingredients in baking.
Dubbed 'baker to the stars' Lily Vanilli has baked for lots of celebrity and high profile clients and events, including Elton John's white tie and tiara ball, Downing St (Gordon Brown), Lulu Guinness, Tron (Movie), Alexander McQueen, Nigella Lawson, Sadie Frost, Henry Holland, Saatchi Gallery, Hello Kitty, Nuno Mendes (The Loft).
The cakes have repeatedly been voted London's best - by the BBC Radio 4 Food programme, Evening Standard, Times, and Lily Vanilli has been dubbed 'The Queen of Baked Goods'.
Lily Vanilli's first book 'A Zombie ate my Cupcake' - is a graphic horror novel/cookbook introduction to cake design will also be available at The Lavender House.
