Smile, the new radio station for Bromley, has announced two Summer School Radio Workshop dates for 11-16 year olds (24 - 25 August and 27 - 28 August).
On Day One students will learn how to use a microphone properly, practise recording jingles, edit their recordings, add music, record links and create a play list for their show.
On Day two they will learn how to be a star interviewer and research questions for an interview with an artist, learn how to audition for the interview, have the chance to interview a famous artist and learn all about studio sessions and recording demos.
The shows will go out live-on-air as part of Smile’s one-day RSL radio broadcast on October 31. Youngsters will get the opportunity to present their shows and help run the station for the day. Each student will receive a CD of their work and a special certificate.
