As ever here on thebestof Bromley we aim to promote all things local, and nothing more so than our friendly local charities.
The Harris HospisCare's first ever Harvest Moon Walk will be taking place on Saturday 25th September 2010.
This sponsored event takes in a 6km route, through Orpington High Street, up to St John's United Reformed Church for supper, then meandering back down to Harris HospisCare's headquarters on Tregony Road.
It's the first of its kind for Harris HospisCare, and attendance is expected to be high for this family event.
Participants also have the option of dressing up in costume, with prizes offered on the night.
Spaces on the Harvest Moon Walk are limited - just 200 - so prompt registration is advisable.
Entry is £4 per person or £12 per family of 4 and includes hot food and drinks.
In addition to vital sponsorship, Harris HospisCare is encouraging walkers to bring along a tin or packet of non-perishable goods for the Harvest Festival collection at St John’s Church.
If you are interested in the Harvest moon Walk, please contact Simon Pitts in the fundraising office at Harris HospisCare on 01689 825755 or email simon.pitts@harrishospiscare.org.uk .
