Harris HospisCare recently held their third annual Summer Fair on the Green at Green St Green, Orpington.
Saturday 12th June saw a good turn out for the event, and appeared to be a popular warm up for the evening's events in South Africa as the England's campaign for the World Cup kicked off.
Alongside a dog show, kid’s Olympics and the ever popular Pimms and BBQ tents, this year’s Fair saw a number of classic cars attend, including an Aston Martin owned by Lord Harris, long term supporter of Harris HospisCare.
The event also featured two stunning performances from Danny Fisher, one of the country’s premier rock’n’roll singers, and the chance for one lucky winner to walk off with a year’s supply of Kingsmill bread, courtesy of the Kingsmill Southern Region Bakery.
Raising over £5,000 towards Harris HospisCare's £1.7m annual target, organisers were very pleased with the support the Summer Fair had. They are very grateful as ever for the backing of so many local businesses, including Kingsmill Southern Region Bakery, the Co-Op at Green St Green and many others, as well as the ongoing support from the public.
For more information about raising money for Harris HospisCare, please contact Simon Pitts in the fundraising office at Harris HospisCare on 01689 825755 or email fundraising@harrishospiscare.org.uk
PLUS - they are looking for 25 adventurous people to participate in the Harris HospisCare 25th anniversary mass parachute jump!
Are you up for it? Contact Simon Pitts on the above details....
