The New Year brings New Prices for public transport users in London, which is bound to upset residents in Bromley.
Not only affecting commuters into Town, but also regular bus-hoppers within its outer boroughs will be stung by fare increases above the rate of inflation. Car drivers will also be hit by increases in the Congestion Charge further into the city.
According to a report in The News Shopper, London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced that in January Tube fares are set to rise by 3.9%, with bus fares increasing by 12.7%. The daily congestion charge will have a new automated system costing users an extra £1, but those using existing payment methods will have a £2 increase to £10.
Reassurances that the decision for these increases has "not been taken lightly" and are designed to cover a £1.7billion shortfall in funding are not likely to be received lightly either.
How do the increases to fares on London public transport affect you, and what do you have to say about it?
