Mmm, Burgers....

With this wonderful scorchio summer weather, my mind has turned to one important thing (well, two sort of): food and BBQ's.

And I'd like to share with you a tasty recipe for beef burgers - quick, simple, ideal for bromley's BBQ's.

Preparation time is less than 30 minutes, with a cooking time of 10-30 minutes depending on your BBQ. The quantities listed below make 4-6 burgers, so adjust as required.

Ingredients:

1kg minced beef
1 large onion, grated
3 tbsp or handful of chopped fresh parsley and thyme
salt & pepper
generous sprinkle of curry powder to taste
sprinkle of dried paprika
1 large egg, lightly beaten, to bind the patties together

Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl with a fork.

Using wet hands, make the desired sized patties, ensuring they are an even thickness across.

Cook on BBQ, evenly browning both sides - making sure the middle is browned through as well.

Serve nude, or in a bap with the usual grated cheese / chilli sauce / ketchup as desired.
