At Chislehurst Chiropractic we know that how you start your day can have a dramatic effect on the rest of it. I'm sure we've all experienced those days when right from the off, we're just having a bad day - there's the old phrase "getting up on the wrong side of bed" that very much echoes that sentiment.
You can have a direct influence on how your day pans out, making it more positive and less stressful.
Try incorporating these easy changes into your morning routine and you could feel a dramatic impact on your life.
Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.
You cannot underestimate the importance of proper hydration. To help keep your energy up get some water into your system early and give your digestive system a head start too.
Wake up early enough to get ready without rushing.
This sounds simple but rushing around in the morning as you're running out of time definitely increases those stress levels. Give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes in the morning to relax your routine and provide a buffer for emergencies. This additional time can prevent arriving at work already stressed out.
Do one thing that makes you happy before breakfast.
Do one thing that makes you smile, then go tackle your day a little happier and healthier!
Have a great day everyone!
