If you want to take an active part in what goes on in Your Bromley, maybe the current vacancies (unpaid) on the Council's Standards Committee will appeal to your sense of civic duty.
The Council’s Standards Committee is responsible for the promotion and maintenance of high levels of conduct for Councillors and other serving Council Committees. This obviously has an indirect effect on what happens in Bromley for residents and local businesses. The Standards Committee acts as an impartial body assessing the views and expectations of local people as these relate to how Councillors and the Council behave.
The Council are looking to two new members of the Committee, usually to serve a term of about four years.
The closing date for applications is Friday 12th February 2010.
If you think you have the integrity and experience fill this vacancy and be a part of this valuable asset to the borough, check out the Bromley Council website.
