The Bury Floating Support Team at Calico are here to advise and support you with any tenancy-related issues you may have, and will work with you for a period of up to six months.
They also provide several dispersed units of supported accommodation across Bury for those individuals who are unable to secure their own tenancy due to their current circumstances, which may be due to homelessness.
The aim of this short term accommodation is to equip people with the necessary independent living skills required to secure and sustain a tenancy and to provide a window of opportunity to remove some of the barriers people may face, such as addressing previous rent arrears.
The Bury Floating Support service was commissioned by Bury Council in 2019 in order to contribute to their mission of reducing homelessness in Bury. We are a Calico Gateway service, which works to reduce homelessness in Bury and Burnley.
They are one of a number of valuable not-for-profit Calico Enterprise services that belong to The Calico Group; a collective of businesses and services providing homes, construction and support to communities across the North West.
