As a really fussy vegetarian I can really struggle eating out. Most venues have the 'V' on their menu's when the food is in fact not vegetarian at all, it can be cooked in the same oil as meat or Fish or include ingredients that are not veggie! Not Cosalea!
They have separate fryers for the veggie food. The menu is excellent, we are a family of 4, 3 of us veggie and my husband a meat eater and the menu has lots of choice for all of us. Hubby loves the Sunday Dinners and also the small plates too!
One day i will have the cheese and onion pie which looks amazing but for now every time we go I order the battered Halloumi, which is served with chunky chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce and a slice of lemon. It is so tasty.
The staff are very friendly and so attentive too. Highly Recommended.

The Hamers has always been a favourite of ours for food and drinks; recently under new management we have given it a go twice this week.
Thursday night quiz night; we had food before the quiz started; there were four of us. Two had cheese and onion pie, there was a meat and potato pie and a curry.
All good; didn’t just come out looking excellent it also tasted it.The pies are home made and come with proper chips!
The curry I was told too was full of flavour and warmth but not too spicy just right!Service is impeccable; you are not left waiting to order drinks they are super attentive.
We ventured there again for Sunday lunch and the experience was the same! Roast lamb all the trimmings; too much to finish; the lamb wasn’t fatty; just right; complete with Yorkshire, roast, mash, cauliflower cheese and veg!
Service again; just great.Sam is an absolute credit; he is proactive and knows what great customer service looks like; he doesn’t miss anything.
Highly recommend.

Not been in here before but following a recent change of ownership and bringing in a chef specialising in Pizza and Burgers - was on our target list.
The food was absolutely lovely and you could tell that the whole pizza was made from scratch on site. I have never had something looking and tasting so good! There was a live act on later in the evening and (it was someone we knew) that made a great night out.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and the place has a really nice atmosphere.See you again sometime

Had a great lunch with my mum here today. It was incredibly busy but the staff were extremely friendly and got us seated as soon as a table was free.
We arrived at 1.30pm at the height of the dinner rush.
Drinks were served really quickly but the food took some time. We weren't in a rush and when asked, staff checked to see how long we had to wait. It seems that if you are in a rush, you can let them know and they would do their best to serve quicker. We didn't really mind the wait - it was definitely worth it. The toasties were great. I had Avocado and Corguette (available as vegan and gluten free too although I had the standard veggie). My mum had Ham, Brie and Cranberry sauce. They were served with salad with balsamic dressing and vegetable crisps. The bread was really fresh as where the other ingredients. Delicious!
The coffee was great too. Afterwards we had Double Chocolate Brownie and Jammydodger Blondie and they were fantastic.
Not a bad price for a cafe bar. 2 meals, 2 hot drinks and 2 cakes came to about £26.
Ill definitely be going back.

Visited in our lunch hour, took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. Very disjointed service. My food ( Halloumi Wrap) was delicious, my friend's food wasn't too great (smoked salmon bagel). It does have a nice atmosphere and maybe this was a one off as we have been before and even though it took a while to serve us, it wasn't this length of time! An explanation would've been useful, as to why the service was so long...or a warning when we walked in if they were having problems.

Phoned for a table last minute. Professional manner over telephone. Nothing any trouble. Leek and potatoe soup was so tasty with fresh doorstop bread and real butter. The roast beef lunch came with home made Yorkshire pudding, creamy mash, well done roast potatoes, seasonal veg, and the most amazing cauliflower cheese. Absolutely stunning and very plentiful. Highly recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The Hamers in Summerseat is now under new ownership and you can tell. The refurb is lovely with comfy seating and plenty of tables. Book in advance for weekend though to avoid disappointment.
The food is excellent, pizzas cooked on a stone and all homemade at a great price. Open fireplace and dog friendly with lovely staff. Worth a visit to this gorgeous little village.
