We were served by Ben, he was very attentive and really looked after us. The food was great.
We have on occasion had poor service but they seem to have stepped it up a bit recently.
Well done.

My husband and I decided to pop in for an impromptu lunch out but were a bit wary as we hadn't been for a good while and we hadn't been impressed with our last visit.
There was no need to worry as the place was clean and tidy with new decor, staff and menu. The food was good - well cooked and tasty - and the staff were cheery and helpful. We will certainly visit again!..

We came to try the new menu and we weren't disappointed!! Lots of options and really glad that they've brought main meals too for when you're extra hungry. Great service from Emily as always.

Called here for brunch. We arrived around 11.30 ISH nobody at the counter so we picked a table for three that wasn't already reserved. There were no menu's we could hear and see someone through the gap. There were two girls a few tables down looking at some papers then they went to the counter and a girl came from the back. We had to ask for menu's,then we asked if you had to come back to the counter to order and she said she would come to us. We ordered our drinks then a lad came from the back and they both started making drinks. A man which we presumed was the chef came in around 12.00. at one point there were queues. When the food came it was delicious. Worth the long wait.

Spent a couple of hours here Sun 7th Aug. and met up with a couple of old mates. It was well worth the drive from Widnes.
General Manager and staff on form. Well mannered very polite. Bar prices ok. Sat in a nice space looking at some very nice well made models. I did not try any food but the coments from other couples was very complementive. I will visit again with my better half in tow.
Many thanks to all staff on lunchtime shiftBulldog

Visited for the second time in a week. Cannot fault this place, not too expensive. Excellent service from the two younger staff Elise, Ben and Sam (chef) and Emily. Nothing was too much trouble. All were polite and courteous. Give it a go!

We found this place online while looking for lunch spots on our day aboard the East Lancs Railway & we couldn’t have been more delighted. Friendly staff, a really nice interior & absolutely cracking food at a very good price. Everything we ordered was clearly home made (burgers, chilli, fish batter). I’d say we would go out of our way to return here. It’s only 10 minutes walk from the station. If you are doing the East Lancs Railway you can’t go wrong!

Doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside, but nice decor inside.
Food was great, and good value.
We were well looked after by the staff - Emily, Ben and Phil.
Overall a really good night, and will definitely be back.

Dined here on Thurs with family etc, first visit for me and the immediate stand out was the very friendly welcome and service from Emily, this excellent service was consistent throughout with Leah and Louis also excellent throughout the night. There is a great food choice of various dishes to suit anyone really and overall a refreshing menu providing something a bit different, The food quality was first class, well presented and very flavoursome, and very competitively priced, thanks to Chris and Nick the chefs. A good ambience and and a nice place to relax, will return and it’s well recommended, they go the extra mile here so deserve the support.

We booked onto the ‘Kitchen Knives’ course, but Jason, the Hamers Arms’ Head chef and Manager, was eager to tailor the workshop to our interests & comfort.
He temporarily adapted his kitchen to enable my additional needs in a safe & discrete manner.
This Lovely country village pub that has recently been takeover after a huge refurbishment. The cookery workshops have just been launched and take place on Mondays and Tuesdays.
At my request, we focused on dejointing; boning & spatchcocking a chicken. He was very knowledgeable and had a great teaching style passing on tips and other cooking ideas in addition to the course booked.
Jason’s friendly and encouraging approach gave us confidence during the ‘ hands on’ section of the workshop.
My fridge is now stocked with beautifully portioned chicken pieces ready for our next BBQ.We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. Thank you, Jason.
I will look forward to attending another of Jason’s workshop at the Homers in the future.

This was the first time I've been to the Hamers Arms and it was for a reunion with a large group of my Army comrades. The pub itself is of a traditional size unlike the larger more modern pubs, but is exceptionally well layed out inside and out with its beer garden. One of the main things that impressed me was how friendly and hospitable the staff were and how they coped with the large contingent of customers, they could not have done more if they tried. There is a good selection of beets and the food is top quality. Its 23 miles from where I live, but that will not stop me from visiting again. A massive thank you to Jonathan and his staff.

Booked the vault for a private function, lovely room and well presented. I booked afternoon tea for 12 of us and wow there was plenty, the food was all fresh and delicious. Had no problem providing a gluten free and vegetarian version. Everyone had a wonderful afternoon.

We had an amazing time at Cosalea for our 40th birthday party! The staff were warm, welcoming and really accommodating. The customer service really was excellent and I felt in safe hands from making my initial enquiries to being able to relax and enjoy the party itself on the day. The food was delicious and catered for all our needs. The Vault was the perfect size for what we needed. I’ll definitely recommend Cosalea to people and I’m sure if we were to have another party, we’d book again! Thank you!

What a find, situated in the heart of summerseat, this modern lively pub serves some delicious food, l say some as l didn’t get to try them all. The fish and chips was fabulous and plentiful, yesterday we had our 1st army/veterans get together and the chef cooked bratwurst for us, a great touch and a great day, will be visiting more often

A lovely pub, well kept beers and a good selection of them. The landlord is a top bloke that couldn't do enough for his customers. He stayed calm under the pressure of a busy afternoon. His staff were equally as pleasant and helpful. The food was top notch. Comfortable inside, the military memorabilia on display was very interesting, and a shady beer garden were the icing on the cake of my visit.
Highly recommended.
