Highly recommend Made In Bury. I first joined as a ticket holder to their Weekly £2000 Draw a couple of years ago. The process to get tickets was easy and every Wednesday they notify ticket holders on social media, on their website and by email who the lucky winner is. It's easy but most importantly, all proceeds go to supporting local start up businesses with interest free loans, something which they may not have been able to obtain from a typical high street lender.
Then, after setting up my own business in 2022, I joined their Business Academy and spent 9 months doing fortnightly sessions on the basics of business, from finances to branding, everything was covered to ensure a new business succeeds. I had the opportunity to meet like-minded business owners and have a pool of experienced mentors to support me. The Business Academy was integral to my success and would highly recommend to any new business, whether they think they need support or not.
Once the Business Academy year had finished, I took the opportunity to join the ladies only Brunch Club. The networking and support received has been great. I have been able to grow my business though making meaningful connections, all whilst having some fun and fantastic brunch food.
I would highly recommend using any of the Made In Bury services and look forward to working with them for the long term.

The accumulation of structured modules, peer support and expert mentoring and guidance from successful business owners, has combined into the perfect package that has made not just my business grow, but what it's done for my personal development is priceless. The North West Business Fair provided our business with the opportunity to form new relationships, with both customers and other like minded business. We used our best selling food products to engage delegates while educating them on our business and community links and involvement. This was highly successful and has lead to direct booking and further networking opportunity’s.

This was Soothe Ltd's first time at the event and we took an exhibitor's stand. We did say in advance we would be offering complimentary chair massages and was a tad surprised to find we'd been squeezed into a corridor. This made it tricky to ensure we could carry out the massages and ensure H&S for passing delegates.
I was also about to be given a brown envelope by someone at one stage, only to have it taken back when I was told bourusiness was not a local Bury business. That felt a tad awkward and somewhat alienated. It felt the event was favoured local businesses.
That said, we did meet some great people from great businesses and look forward to seeing where those relationships develop.

Thank you for a great night at the #nwbizfair18! We attended 2 of the seminars which we found to be of great use to us! It has also given us great ideas going forward. We have also made some strong leads on the night at the speed networking! It was great to see everyone so busy. My time there genuinely flew in, looking forward to the next!

What an amazing, stunningly organised, well attended Expo! - I was made to feel most welcome coming all the way from Huddersfield and it was indeed such a pleasure to meet so many lovely, genuine business people. I now hope my expert services can be considered moving forward (radio advertising). Well done Debbi and the team, here's looking forward to the next one!

The Made in Bury Business awards 2015 was absolutely amazing. The team behind it Debi, Phil, Kathryn, Stephen & Holly, put on one of the best events on the Bury calendar. Bury is truly an awesome place to be and the businesses of Bury certainly know how to celebrate in style. Not content with just an ‘awards ball’ the event carried on into the early hours at the after-after party hosted by Belvoir Lettings at the Village Hotel in Bury. CT Business Solutions had a great time [hick!]. The competition in all categories was fierce with some fantastic companies making Bury a force to be reckoned with. Bring on MIBBA16.

It was a fantastic night, everyone was happy and the place was buzzing with excitement. The community in Bury have grown closer together and even if companies did not win, or did not enter they were still there to support other local businesses. The night itself was well planned, the room looked amazing and everyone was looked after. I cannot wait until next year, although I don’t think we can top this having won three awards!! Xx

I've been a member of the Ladies Bury Brunch network group for a year and I've got to say it's amazing. Truly inspirational women joining forces to help and advise each other, provide support and a motivation. Invaluable. Did I mention that as a group we also pass great business referrals ! As a new member of the Brunch Club, it was great to meet so many ladies engaged in such a wide variety of businesses, all passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly that it's easy to get to know people and the food is delicious! Been brunching for a while now - & the theory most definitely works. Girls who network together, stick together. I have used the services of about 6 of my lady brunch'ers and have been happy to help around 5. Fridays were made for Brunch Club!
