Great hotel nice size, great rooms ample parking.Very busy in bar but still got served quickly.Decent pub next door, just needs to let you know where you can sit too many reserved and messy tables.food was great nevertheless.

One night stay served it's purpose to facilitate a dining experience on the East Lancs Railway. There was a blip with the taxi, ordered through the hotel direct phone link, but this did not spoil our experience.

Booked 3 rooms in the January room sale, so fantastic value at £25 a room!! All in all a brilliant night away but with a couple of gripes.....

1. The dessert in the restaurant was poor and when asked how we enjoyed it, this was fed back to the waitress who didn't take kindly to an honest opinion.

2. The bathroom in the room had not been refurbished in 1 room but had in the other 2.

3. There was only 1 pillow so would have been nice to have an extra pillow option for comfort/preference.

Good all round hotel. Room comfy. Did ask for one with a bath, didn't happen. Overall very good. Would stay there again. Restaurant could do with a bigger selection and a little expensive. But food was delicious.

We only stayed one night as a base for a family wedding that was elsewhere. For the size of the hotel it was actually very quiet during the night. The room was quite hot. Although the dyson fan was efficient it was noisy. Room was clean, bed comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.

Had an overnight stay and this by far is the best hotel yet. Visit Manchester regularly to see family/friends and xmas markets. Will be staying here every time from now on even though I will be travelling further out of my way.

A friendly hotel with really good facilities. My room was in need of maintenance and this was feedback to the reception at check out - receptionist seemed genuinely disappointed and I felt she would address the issues. Great location for motorway and only 2-3 pounds in a taxi to Bury.

A friendly hotel with a fantastic gym and pool area, rooms are so comfortable and have everything you need in them from a good hairdryer to an iron and ironing board. Shower in the room was fabulous. Breakfasts had everything and catered for even the fussiest of people like me, to vegetarian sausages or soya milk for my porridge nothing was a bother.

Loved every moment. Would definitely recommend a stay here. The check-in and check-out were easy. We don't use a coffee machine and requested an electric jug to make tea. It arrived quickly with no,fuss.

Lovely stay with friends. Friendly bar and reception staff. Entertainment was great as well as food on tribute night Great new addition of cocktail bar which we made good use of instead on queuing at main bar

Having managed to check in without any help, (for once), I was rewarded with a room overlooking a flat roof, which was collecting puddles of water. In addition the noise from the nearby M66 could still be heard throughout the night, and there were some noisy fellow guests still celebrating well after 2.00am.

For some strange reason the bathroom door couldn't be left open; it kept shutting by itself. However the bed was comfortable and everything worked. In the morning when I left just after 9.00am the car park was not only full but people were parking anywhere they could find; It would appear to be some sort of unofficial free park and ride facility.

Lovely hotel, reception staff so friendly and very helpful. Swimming pool nice and clean and the room was very nice. The most comfortable pillows and comfy bed. Housekeeping could not have been more helpful. The only thing that let it down was the restaurant very expensive for not very good food, complained my steak was overcooked and just told that they would tell the chef. Following night asked for cheese crackers and grapes and told they didn't have any.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times along with many of the other village hotels, begs the question is there a loyalty scheme!! The staff are very welcoming and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Wish the club rooms weren't so far from reception but overall lovely experience

I stayed here through work rather than nearer the city, I like it because the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable, its a three star contemporary place, the girls on reception are lovely and friendly, I did have two issues this time though which put me off the Village, firstly the prawn cocktail in the restaurant was tasteless and rubbery, when I complained to the duty manager I wasn't impressed with his attitude , he refused a partial refund and he lacked communication skills to resolve the issue. Secondly despite my accommodation and breakfast being prepaid by my company I made the mistake of leaving my credit card details for extras. The hotel then without my knowledge charged me for the stay, breakfast and evening meal again and it was only by chance I noticed and had to phone them for a refund. Business travellers should be mindful of this as you may get charged twice and not notice.
Overall the place is a good place to stay but tip
1) Dont leave your card details if prepaid
2) Look at eating at the pub across the road

Comfortable well presented hotel on the edge of Bury comfortable room and a very well equipped gym facility. Also has pool and spa that I didn't visit.

Only observation is that it is quite close to the motorway and the traffic noise was evident. The hotel wasn't noisy by any measure but I live in a small village so am probably quite sensitive to traffic noise.

Well located hotel. Good and spacious rooms, with a very powerful shower, comfortable beds. The breakfast is good with a variety of choice. Very close to the Motorway with a very large car park. The modern décor may not suit everyone.

Have stayed here several times now and always find the hotel to be immaculate. Staff friendly and welcoming and food always good. The hotel is ideally situated for getting off and back in again to main roads to allow me to get on with business trip

Throughly enjoyed this hotel from start to finish. Club rooms are extra special with lovely decor and extra treats. Loved the coffee machine and sky tv on a massive flat screen with good HD too. Breakfast also excellent with lovely fresh coffee.

The check-in was smooth and easy, the room was clean, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and fan provided in the room.
The lighting was very poor, made the room dark and difficult to get ready to go out, the decor was aweful!
Shower and bathroom facilities were lovely and the beds very very comfortable. None of us could work the coffee machine in the room - a kettle would have been better!
Breakfast was great, good selection of food.
Good place to stay but lighting needs improving
