Good hotel but some rooms do not have airconditioning and can be uncomfortably hot. Nice big room, good telly, great breakfast, comfortable bed, and the room was clean. There is a bath/shower in a good standard of bathroom. There was no air conditioning and there are safety restrictions on the window so they only open a crack. When the sun shines through the window for much of the day the room becomes uncomfortably hot. The hotel's TV presented information says that the rooms have air conditioning but our room, and adjacent rooms, did not.

Wedding Everything ran smoothly. I was bridesmaid at a wedding this weekend and honestly can say the staff were amazing!!!! Nothing was too much trouble and they worked their butts off for hours on end. There was only a handful of staff working the event but they did amazingly. There was a young girl, possibly the organiser abs I’m sorry to say I didn’t get get name, she wore a skirt suit in the day. But this girl was a god send she helped out with the brides child and was literally running around from what I saw 11am till 1am!!!! The day was lovely and this was definitely made possible by all the staff there.

Breakfast no no Friendly staff, nice big TV nice bathroom Breakfast was not very nice, scrambled eggs not nice, beans tasted tainted, had extra toast as only eat bacon and a sausage. Room had a power outage about 2am so no electric did until after breakfast but did not inconvenience us too much. So in conclusion, improve the breakfast and offer fried/poached eggs!

Marred by upset caused by fuse. The emergency response by the assistant manager, Ryan, and his colleague, Zafran, who arranged our move with belongings to another bedroom at midnight. The apology from the manager, Michael Dixon, and the arrangement of two complimentary nights at the Village Hotel. Complete power and lighting fuse in our bedroom during the night and the enforced move to another room. The absence of emergency lighting in our bedroom and room telephone together with the recorded response from the switchboard to our mobile call would seem to be a serious health and safety issue.

Son's Wedding in Ramsbottom Location ideal for visiting the surrounding area. Hotel is well kept . Staff helpful. The app for ordering food and drink works well.

Great value for money The room had a large King size bed and a great shower and was very clean and modern. Definitely impressed for the price. Not much but if I’m being picky, the breakfast could have had better continental options and fruit juice options.

Superb Location was great. Lovely pool. The bar was lovely with outside seating. Great for families. The room was far too hot but this could not be helped due to the warm weather.

Disappointed Spacious & excellent shower. Broken toilet seat - potential to cause injury. Was told before arriving bar opened at 4pm so booked elsewhere only to find bar was open at lunchtime. Bedside lamps are hopeless and can’t be moved/positioned very easily. Breakfast wasn’t great and everything was cleared away bang on 0930. I went for more fruit juice but it had all been removed. Why are they now charging for parking? Isn’t the cost of the room enough? I’ve stayed here many times in the past but it has changed considerably and NOT for the better.

Pleasant The size of the bedroom was good and we really enjoyed having 2 double beds in the room. Great swimming pool even if it is tricky to get in with kids. Presumably because of COVID, a booking is required in advance and it gets full quite quick. The room were not cleaned every day (presumably because of COVID restrictions). Therefore it was not very pleasant to stay in a room for 3 nights with a dirty carpet, dirty bathroom, full bins (a trip with 2 toddler can get messy) Besides the breakfast is not great. The choices are very limited (no hot chocolate available for example). Finally the swimming pool is shared with a club so the places get full very quick. It was very hard to get a spot for my family and I.

Stopped here on the first weekend restrictions were lifted. We've stopped in a few village hotels in the past and this is one of the best.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Ate in the restaurant the first night and it was perfect. Breakfast next morning was 10/10 .
Gym and swimming pool was a bonus to use for free.
Hotel is 20min walk from Bury town center and 20min drive to Trafford centre.

Enjoyed our stay we went for a treat as it was our wedding anniversary and meet a couple of friends who are come down to celebrate with us.
Room was big and clean but no mirror in room to do make up or hair and no glasses in bathroom.
It's good that it as a Starbucks which we enjoyed and also weather was good. We used gym while there but didn't get chance to use pool snd other facilities as limited numbers and children times.
So couldn't go as was only available later and we had booked table for meal. Think children time should be from 1-4 then adults times should be 4 till later then csn still have time to go then get ready for meal later
