Rooms are clean but furniture a little worn and stained. Not bad but a few down points; Sky TV in the room didn't work and there was no phone in the room to ring down to reception. Food was nice but portion sizes small for the price (and no proper vegetarian sausages at breakfast just the old vegetable style ones) and a pint of IPA will set you back over £5. Room for improvement.

We went today for Sunday lunch. It used to be a carvery style and we were surprised to find out it isn't anymore and you only get the choice of either turkey or beef - not both. BUT.. the appetizers were amazing. Huge selection of salad pots, aperitifs, soup, rolls, pate, crudits.. very impressed! We did wait a while for the main but again it was delicious! Not really a fan of the chopping boards that its served on, but honestly the quality and quantity was perfect. Dessert selection was limited, either a lemon muffin or a chocolate muffin, but again the quality was wonderful.. particularly the lemon muffins, they were to die for!
So in summary, yes there are little niggles that could be improved upon (no condiments on table, slow service) but on the whole we were very impressed and will definitely be back. Well done Village Bury!

I attended an evening event at this amazing hotel. The entrance was grand and there were a bar and coffee shop in the main lobby as well. The venue hall used as spacious and had a reception room connected where the bar was placed. The food was amazing and so was the layout.
My only problem would be with the prices at the bar, for a half a pint of coca cola it cost £2.85. Other than this I would go again.

Me & hubby had a very enjoyable 2 night stay. Only downside was missing out on our early cup of tea on the first morning as the drink machine in our room was broken & that was the first time trying to use it. However, the lovely housekeeper knew what was wrong with it & sorted it for us. The staff here in general were great, really friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you x

Decent car parking and coffee place. The entrance is quite limited however there is a range of menu items in the refurbished restaurant. Good place for informal meetings or just to grab a quick coffee. The gym is usually quite busy but the attraction of the free parking as well as the gym having a swimming pool, make this a popular destination.

Awesome place away from the city noise close to the nature. The best thing is the location. Right at the river banks. The banquet hall is good to. A lot of varieties in food and drink. The gym facilities are also good and the swimming pool is good too. Staff is friendly and co operative. Never ending parking spaces as well. Must visit once.

Expensive rooms and relatively clean ( minus under the beds dust/someone's hairbrush/ extra TV remote) , we had been given two tea bags so asked for a few more and they never arrived, did spoil the wake up routine.
Unfortunate to have loud guests in rooms near us slamming doors and shouting all morning.

Contemporary rooms and pleasant staff on hand at all times. Shem and Alice were particularly helpful. My only reservation would be the time taken to get served food and drink. I'd put this down to being very busy, virtually every day I stayed.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending a birthday party in the Vibe Room. Bed was super comfy but the good stops there. Very little personal service. You can check in, program your room card without seeing staff.
To get your luggage into the hotel, you either hoof it up about 20 stairs or walk around the side of the building to the disabled lift. It still doesn't get you where you need to be and no offer of help from staff.
There are no telephones in the rooms and in order to reach the front desk, room service or housekeeping, you need to download the Village app onto your Android or smartphone. The app is very unreliable.
There is no fridge, safe, Kleenex or glasses in the rooms. There is inadequate storage for your clothes as there is only a drawer in the desk and one beside the full length mirror.
There is no place in the hotel to even buy toothpaste and as you are in a business park, there is nothing close by.
This hotel caters to gym rats and business people, not for travelers looking for a nice hotel stay.

Let me start by saying that the staff at the village hotel were very helpful and friendly and did everything they could to give us a pleasant stay.
Unfortunately our experience at the village was not great. We had to move rooms because the first one we were given smelt of stale cigarettes and music from the bar was very loud in the room. The second room smelt better but again the music from the function room below kept us awake until around midnight. The rooms are also supposed to be air conditioned but this constituted little more than a weak Dyson cooling ring that could only cool small parts of the room for a limited amount of time. It would have been ok if we could have opened the window without increasing the volume of noise in the room.
On the whole the decor looked fairly worn with worn carpets, chipped paint and rotten window frames throughout.
The replacement of the front desk with a set of iPads gives the place an impersonal feel from arrival and the understaffed bar area was in need of a wipe down (again, I don't blame the staff who were working extremely hard)
I would have expected more for the price.
Fortunately the staff are a real testament to the hotel so hopefully they can turn it around so that the general standards of the hotel match the professionalism of the staff.

Me and my family popped in for some food. The food was wonderful and the staff , I couldn't fault, absolutely fantastic.. one of the gentleman behind the bar was interacting with my four year old Toni, he made her feel like a princess . Giving her high fives everytime he past. We will be going again, when we come back to Manchester. Thank you all for your hard work.

It's in a good location and reasonably priced, but the rooms are very dark. From a female perspective, getting ready for a night out is really hard as there aren't enough sockets where the mirror is. Drinks are expensive, too.

Some small issues , window would not close and cover missing from bathroom shower. Hotel was otherwise clean and in decent location. Reasonable price of £5 for late check out at 1pm.

We had the most amazing wedding at the Villiage Hotel Bury, organized by the fantastic and lovely Tina who definitely helped our day go without a hitch. And the amazing Rod & who managed the evening and room set up. Wow what a guy. Nothing was too much. Our room looked fantastic and everyone had the best day and night. Thank you all so much.

A great hotel with a fabulous Spa and swimming pool with jacuzzis Sauna & Steam Room. The pool and changing rooms are warm. There is a wide variety of classes and the gym is well equipped and has a separate ladies gym.

We thought we would try the Village for a meal. Drinks were expensive £15 for 2 cokes and a gin. The food was good but pub standard. Would eat there again but not on a regular basis.
