354 Hours On the Road - Steve's cycle challenge continues!

Steve Hall is well and truly stuck in with his challenge to cycle around all 92 football league clubs in England and Wales, in order to raise awareness for refugees. He has now been on the road for a mind-boggling 354 hours and counting!

As we move into a sunny June (so far at least!) Steve was treated to a night in the premier Harpenden House Hotel after BNI member Katherine Webster-Brown organised the deal of the century!  As you'll know from my previous posts, Steve is doing this challenge on a refugees budget of just £20 a day, which also has to cover accommodation. This means the thought of a bed and a nice hot shower was extremely comforting and much appreciated.

Credit must be given to the extremely helpful staff at the hotel, who didn't bat an eyelid when Steve arrived on his bike, which needed to be stored somewhere. The very kind receptionist put it away in an unused conference room for him - very different to another hotel, where poor Steve was asked to put it on the roof terrace which was up 4 floors on a spiral staircase!

After a well-earned rest at Harpenden House, Steve visited the Chariots BNI breakfast meeting, where he received a fantastic welcome and met with their inspiring members. To top it all off, the chapter education co-ordinator also happens to a be professional photographer, and obligingly took some great photos.
