Luci Roper, from our very own Luci Living Design was recently honoured to be invited to attend a  Royal Reception at St Jame's Palace, London in the presence of HRH Princess Alexandra who is celebrating 40 years of royal patronage to the mental Health Charity MIND.

As well as keeping busy with her running, Luci recently completed a full refurbishment of the Red Hall Hotel at Ramsbottom and Tao’s Restaurant in Prestwich.

Luci is a former psychiatric nurse and has been working hard to raise £10,000 for the mental health charity MIND in memory of a friend. Last year, she ran the Manchester 10K and New York Marathon and in addition she has arranged a number of fundraising events.

As her next challenge, Luci will be undertaking the London Marathon on 25 April 2010 and hopes to raise at least a further £5000 to support a really important new campaign for MIND. The campaign is aimed at supporting employees and employers in the work place.

At the current time millions of people are suffering in silence as recession related job insecurities, money worries and spiralling debt take their toll on mental health. This has been causing an increase in anxiety, serious depression and sadly, people to takinge their own lives. The campaign will improve both work environments and working lives by creating a better understanding of mental health issues for both employees and employers leading to friendly, open and more supportive work places.

Employers can receive free advice on the simple steps they can take to boost mental wellbeing, productivity and most importantly, get people the right support when they need it . For more information please visit
