Bury Market has notched up another first by welcoming the Citizens Advice Bureau to its ranks.
Fully trained advisors will be on hand every Friday and Saturday to answer queries relating to money and debt, family matters, your daily life and your rights.
The CAB stall was officially opened by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Yvonne Creswell, and the deputy leader of the council, Cllr John Smith. It is located on Margaret block, stall 16, which is the aisle at the back of the open market facing the dual carriageway.
Cllr Smith said: “In this tough economic climate, more people are struggling to cope and need help to get by. Charities cannot always afford to rent high street premises, so we are delighted to offer the CAB a low-cost alternative in a busy location which should give thousands of people access to financial and debt support.”
