The Red Hall Hotel’s restaurant- a combination of delicious food and passion won Stephen Mcloughlin the Executive Chef position.
Mcloughlin formerly of Earle Restaurant in Hale dubs his culinary style as “traditional food with a creative twist” that he hopes will tempt hotel residents, people visiting the area and the local community. He believes good food doesn’t have to come at a high price and only offers affordable menus.
In the past Mcloughlin has held Chef’s positions at hotels such as: The Lowry Hotel and The Midland Hotel, both in Manchester. He has worked under the famous Marco Pierre White as Head Chef for various restaurants in the MWP White Star Line Group. Other highlights include creating gourmet lunches for the Royal family, becoming Executive Head Chef for the England football team and being awarded 3 AA Rosettes for his work at The Lowry Hotel.
He’s opted to change everything on the menu but the famous ‘Bury Black Pudding’ and local’s favourite fish pie. New menu’s, feature dishes such as: Pendle Hill pork loin, seared escalope of sea trout and a very popular new Grill section.
Mcloughlin is a firm believer of using local produce suppliers to ensure high quality and fresh food is served. The menu features steaks from Riley Brothers Butchers just down the road in Crawshawbooth.
‘Please pass on my many many thanks to your new Chef. I have to say the new menu is mouth-watering when reading it, I found it so hard to choose just 3 dishes off it. When it arrived it tasted just as good as it looked. Myself and my husband will definitely be returning and will be telling all our friends and family about your new star chef.’
