If you have had water in your house due to the recent flooding, you will be eligible for a one-off payment of £500 from Bury Council to help with recovery costs, like temporary accommodation.
Bury Council are visiting properties believed to have been affected by the flooding to discuss these payments. Where possible, they will take your details and check your property has been affected.
If you have moved out of your property, or missed the council visit please complete a flood-grant form by clicking here or phone 0161-253-5656.
If Bury Council have already visited your street and verified the flood damage, they will make a payment as quickly as they can.
It will be quicker to pay the flood relief payment by direct debit to your bank account. If you pay your Council Tax by direct debit, Bury Council will use the bank details on record.
Payments will be issued from Friday 8 January 2016.
