Bury Hospice has opened its first furniture store located at Unit 13,Radcliffe Industrial Estate, Radcliffe, M26 1AD (behind Asda). Contact number - 0161 725 8405
The Mayor Jean Grimshaw cut the ribbon on Monday 10th Sept 2012 and was accompanied by the Mayors consort Mr Paul Grimshaw and Councillor Mike Connolly.
The Warehouse manager Elaine Lord and her team of staff and volunteers are delighted to be part of this exciting new venture.
Elaine says "The public have been very generous and have donated some high quality furniture, bric a brac and household items and of course every penny raised from the sale of such items will goes directly towards our Hospice care."
If you are kind enough to donate items for sale we can pick your high quality items of furniture up, however you are also able to take your donations direct to our unit. We will also ask you to Gift Aid your items if you are a UK tax payer this in turn will enable us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 in the selling price of your item.
The warehouse will be open Monday to Saturday 9.30-4.30 and Sunday 11am – 4pm.
When you have purchased your furniture we also offer a delivery service for a small fee this can be arranged.
We are also looking for volunteers to fulfil several roles either in the warehouse or on the sales floor or as a drivers mate-full training will be given. If you are interested in volunteering please call our Volunteer Manager, Sam Duncan on 0161 725 9800.
Please support us in our new venture and we look forward to seeing you and don't forget we have 4 shops in Radcliffe, Bury, Prestwich and Ramsbottom. Should you wish to donate items to any of our shops, or indeed to our furniture shop, please get in touch. The furniture shop telephone number is 0161 725 8405. The shop is able to accept donations of items of furniture (excluding white goods, large tvs and mattresses) household items and bric-a-brac.
