Can you accommodate a trainee for a short-term work placement?
Bury Adult Learning Service has an ESF project to provide training and work placements to 7 unemployed trainees from Bury, aged over 25.
As part of a structured programme of training, we are seeking work placements for our trainees with SMEs in Bury, to start mid-February for six weeks in duration.
Trainees will be in the workplace for three days per week. The group will attend training for a full week prior to the placement starting, and for the other party of the week while on placement.
We will provide a mentor to support the trainee and as a contact for the employer.
This programme will give valuable work experience and transferable job skills to a group of local unemployed people.
If your organisation can offer employment to the trainee for a minimum of 4 weeks after the traineeship is complete, there is a single payment of £400 available for the employer.
