Young people aged 14 to 18 could enjoy the trip of a lifetime and represent Bury in the International Youth Sports Festival.
The event gives talented boys and girls the chance to compete against those from Bury’s twinned and friendship towns in European countries, and experience new cultures and make lifelong friends.
This year’s festival is held from Thursday 31 May to Sunday 3 June in Bury’s German twin town of Schorndorf.
Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service has supported the festival since 2002 and is seeking local clubs to identify a squad of players to take part, as well as nominate volunteer team managers to accompany the team(s) alongside Bury Council staff.
Sports represented at the festival comprise badminton, basketball, football, athletics, table tennis and volleyball.
