Stuck for entertaining the kids this Easter? Look no further! The Met has two fantastic interactive kids shows for the over 5s performed by award winning theatre companies.
Stig of the Dump on Saturday 23 April at 2.30pm gives children the chance to be the star of the show! Performed by Image Musical Theatre Company, the story explores Clive King’s story of Barney and his Neolithic friend Stig.
Is Stig real or is he the product of Barney’s boyhood imagination? Lou sees Stig, and so do lots of other people, but does this mean they really do go back in time to the building of the stone circles? This wonderful musical production of this famous story, has lots of opportunity for the audience to take part and is a truly magical experience. Image Musical Theatre has an unrivalled reputation for producing the very best of family theatre.
On Wednesday 27 April at 2.30pm Pickled Image Theatre Company bring Wolf Tales - he’s big, he’s bad and very, very hairy, but underneath he’s not that scary! Meet one of the fairy tales most maligned characters, who’s here to set the record straight. Riding Hood is not the innocent she pretends and as for those 3 little pigs…
Pickled Image use puppetry, shadows recipes and songs to create a spectacular and hilarious expose of the truth behind these classic fairy tales. This is for all big kids over 5 who love a tasty tail.
