GDT, Bury, has joined teams with The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity to test daring individuals on how good at driving they really are!
For many, learning to drive is a distant memory - in cars that would now be classed as 'vintage' and when wrinkles were non-existent. Although you may THINK you're a good driver, you've probably not been in a car with a fully qualified driving instructor ever since you passed. Those bad habits you have are exactly that; whether it's driving in a higher gear to reduce petrol or parking outside the lines. But, now you have the opportunity to SEE how terrible (or brilliant) your driving has actually become.
GDT, a driving school operating across all areas of Bury, has joined forces with The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity to host DRIVE4JOSH, a fun mock driving test that will put you through your paces all in the name of 'fundraising'.
Graham, the driving instructor in charge of the project, will take you through an area of Bury, where, a black box (used by insurance companies) will be testing your driving based on style and control out of 100. Points will be deducted for issues, and penalties will be given for certain behaviours, including road rage!
It’s a fantastic idea and all fully qualified drivers can take part. You can compete against family members, friends and business contacts, where it will be a good way to prove how much of a good driver you are! We’ve all had someone call us a ‘terrible driver’ but now’s the time to dispel all those comments once and for all!
Following your mock exam, you will be invited to the presentation event where The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity will announce the winners and runners up.
