After a recent meeting Bury FC Directors and Forever Bury Directors have lay down plans to work together even more closely this year, resulting in Forever bury being asked to help cover costs for a huge £20,000 refurbishment in the players changing room.
With the costs being so high its important that fans rally round and support the venture. Chairman Dave Giffard has confirmed that fans taking park in this years sponsered walk will have there admission fees refunded when their sponsorship is paid in full. Bury FC Director Mark Catlin has also said he will be taking part in the walk to help raise money for the much needed revamp of the dressing rooms as well as buying everybody a drink at the pub 'pit stop' !
In the past, hundreds of walkers turned out to show their support and help raise money by taking the part in the walk, but in recent years numbers of walkers have declined. This means this year even more walkers are needed to help raise the much needed money ! Not only will it help the club but every year it turns out to be a great day and a good laugh. Supporters who make the effort and hit sponsorship targets will be recognised and rewarded!
We appreciate that not everyone can walk there and that some fans may not even be going to the match but, as the player’s have been brilliant over the past two seasons, it would be a fitting tribute to them to upgrade their dressing room.
