General Election and Bury Council Local Elections
27th April 2010
... Comments

Residents who have asked for a postal vote for May 6 are reminded that two elections are taking place that day.

Voters will need to fill out separate forms for both the General election and the local Bury Council elections.

Postal voters will receive a separate envelope, containing voting papers, for each election.

Inside each envelope will be:
* a ballot paper, which you mark with an X next to the candidate (s) of your choice
* a postal voting statement, which you must sign and write in your date of birth
* two envelopes

You put your ballot paper in the smaller envelope and seal it. You then put this envelope, and your signed statement, inside the larger envelope, which you then post. Do this for each election, local and general.
