Back in December (seems such a long time ago now), one of our members, Graham from Get
Driving Today came along to our fortnightly breakfast club and told us of the plight of Hoyles Community Centre.
As with all community run organisations and charities, they were trying to raise funds to hold
a Christmas event where there would be a raffle and an opportunity for everyone to get together to get everyone together for a great day of activities and fun.
Graham explained that although the team had really tried, they were struggling to get enough support
and gifted items to be able to run the event.

thebestofbury business community have always been incredibly supportive of one another, and, through
building relationships with one another over time, they did what they always do and pulled together on the back of Grahams call for support, rallying round and donated an abundance of wonderful gifts that could be used to raise much needed funds for the centre.
One such gift was a mobile phone, very kindly donated by Connect Comms, other gifts included wine and chocolates.
Needless to say the event was pulled off and was a great success.
Hoyles Community Centre is a day provision for adults with a learning disability.
The centre can support up to 10 individuals on any one day and engage in activities such as cookery, swimming and movement to music as well as multi-sensory stimulation and relaxation and educational support.
