How Bury voted in the European Elections

Just over a third of Bury voters made their mark in the European Parliamentary elections which were held last Thursday (22 May).

Their votes were added to those cast across the whole of the North West, which led to the election of three Labour MEPs for the region, three UKIP MEPs, and two Conservative MEPs.

How we voted in Bury (the turnout was 36.24%):

An Independence from Europe – 769

British National Party – 872

Conservative Party – 11,975

English Democrats – 685

Green Party – 3,080

Labour Party – 17,201

Liberal Democrats – 2,135

NO2EU – 122

Pirate Party UK – 251

Socialist Equality Party – 101

UK Independence Party (UKIP) – 14,162
