Following on from the severe weather conditions last week, please follow this advice.
Grey, green and blue bins scheduled for collection last week, please put them out again from 7am on Tuesday 6 March, collection crews will be out emptying missed bins throughout this week.
Collections scheduled for this week will be taking place on the usual day.
Brown bins will be emptied from next week on the next scheduled collection date.
Councillor Alan Quinn, Cabinet Member for the Environment said:“The weather conditions last week were unprecedented and the subsequent delays caused to bin collections unavoidable.We have a plan to catch-up and our crews will be out all this week doing everything they can to get the service back on track for the people of Bury.
“Last week we had no choice but to suspend the service as a duty of care to our workforce and we ask residents for their patience while we do everything possible to return the service to normal.”
