In our latest 'In the Know' blog presenting the people behind the business, we're introducing Lauren Wood, receptionist at Bury Business Lodge.

If you've visited Bury Business Lodge from 1.00pm, you're almost sure to have come into contact with Lauren. As one of the main receptionists at this local business centre, Lauren is the first face you'll see when entering Europa House, one of four buildings that make up Bury BusinessLodge. Lauren's character suits her role immensely; she is friendly, happy and dynamic, giving each visitor a very warm welcome (even if you're just delivering a parcel)!

Day-to-day

Lauren works on the reception at Bury BusinessLodge and her day includes completing a large array of tasks.

From answering the phone to ensuring the tuck shop is well stocked for the hungry BusinessLodge residents, it appears that Lauren's role is crucial in the daily runnings of Europa House.  If you need anything, all residents at Europa House need to do is contact Lauren. She franks post, sends out The Gallery's lunchtime menu and generally ensures each company at this local centre has everything they need. Multi-tasking is a definite skill of Lauren’s, she can serve individuals purchasing their latest chocolate fix whilst answering and transferring calls.

What is your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is Starbucks, I can't live without coffee! Oh, and going for meals at the restaurant where my husband works.

If you were on “Come Dine with Me”, who would you invite?

I'd invite Peter Kay, Ant and Dec and David Beckham purely because it would be funny and David Beckham would be nice to look at!

Did you know...

I was an extra in a film when I was six but can't remember what the film was called!!!!

Why do you enjoy working for Business Lodge?

I get to meet lots of different people, something different happens every day and it's a really friendly, happy place to work.
