In our latest 'In the Know' blog presenting the people behind the business, we're introducing Tony Flood from Bury BusinessLodge, a local business centre.

Tony Flood is the Facilities Co-ordinator at Bury BusinessLodge and an all-round handyman providing general (yet crucial) maintenance.  From offering businesses a helping hand when moving in, to decorating offices and cooking, there is nothing that Tony, who has been a BusinessLodge employee for over 10 years, can’t do.  No job is too small for Tony either; he can put up pictures, provide security and fix items. But what don’t we know about Tony? This popular and well-connected handyman is big on music and spent 20 years living in London.

Before Tony took up his very important role at this local business centre, he ran numerous pubs and restaurants for ten years before becoming a catering manager (for another ten).  After twenty years in the bright lights of London, Tony moved to Bury for his wife whom he met in 2000 and has been maintaining the serviced offices at Bury BusinessLodge ever since.

Now for the informal questions!

Secret crush?

“When I was younger I did have a crush on Elisabeth Shue (from the 1988 film Cocktail with Tom Cruise)!”

Who would you invite on Come Dine with Me?

“Antony Hopkins from Silence of the Lambs, Dave Gilmore from Pink Floyd and Phil Collins! I am a big Genesis and Pink Floyd fan.”

Describe yourself in three words

“I am hard-working, funny and trustworthy." 'GORGEOUS’ was interjected by fellow BusinessLodge employee Kerry during the questioning, ooh!

Tony works Monday to Friday at Bury BusinessLodge. This local business centre provides serviced offices and conference facilities to business of all sizes. For more information, visit the feature below.
