I also operate on a monthly retainer basis where I become an extension of your business by taking on and working with you on your People Management issues to free you up to run the business.
People Matters also links directly into PortfolioExec under PortfolioPersonnel which is a virtual Human Resources department, made up PortfolioExec members acting as a consortium to add H&S, Occupational Psychology, Outplacement, Coaching, Mentoring, Business Expertise, Life Coaching, Learning and Development, Occupational Health and Welfare (underpinned by BUPA) and other people related disciplines.
To begin with ask yourself, do I have contracts of employment? Do my staff have job descriptions? Do I recruit properly? Do I adhere to the Equalities Act? Do I understand Pensions Auto-Enrolment? Do I have a structured induction process? Do we have a staff handbook with our procedures in it? Do my staff know how they fit into achieving what I want to achieve? Do I know what I want them to achieve? Do I have a Health & Safety Policy? Do I need one? Do I do risk assessments?
