Bury Council is once again a hung council following the local elections.

The Conservatives lost three seats to Labour, leaving them with 23 seats out of the 51 on the council.

Labour also won one seat from the Liberal Democrats, putting them on 20 seats with the Lib Dems on eight. 

The turnout was 65.19%, up from the last local election turnout of 38%.

The votes were counted this afternoon (Friday May 7) at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury, and the full results are:
