As a part of my university course I was required to undertake a 5-week work placement to further my studies. The team at thebestofbury allowed me to complete this placement within their operation, based at Europa House, one of Bury BusinessLodge’s facilities.

I arrived at the Bury BusinessLodge reception for my first day and was immediately impressed, Europa House is immaculately maintained, with a modern and professional design. The receptionist was very friendly, helping calming my nerves and making me feel comfortable, and directing me to which office I would be based in (the receptionists were always helpful and answered any questions I had). The office space was extremely spacious and provided the perfect working environment.  The individually controlled air-conditioning proved to be invaluable during the heatwave in my second week which is just one of the many features the office spaces boast.

The Meeting Rooms were the perfect space for those early morning meetings, with coffee, tea, fresh orange and tasty pastries provided, which made the early starts well worth it! Just one of the ways the brilliant team at BusinessLodge go the extra mile for their clients.

I found that the facilities on offer were second to none. There are multiple areas with hot & cold water taps, perfect for a quick cupper or a cold glass of water. The toilets and office spaces were thoroughly cleaned daily, leaving it clean and hygienic at all times. The Gallery offers a delicious range of food throughout the day as well as hot & cold drinks, which provided an area to socialise with unfamiliar face from another business that is based at Bury BusinessLodge!

Unfortunately due to prior engagements at The Gallery, I was not able to utilise the fully-equipped on-site gym, but my colleague said she found it had a comfortable & private environment to exercise than the busy public gyms in the area.

The communal garden area was excellent for somewhere relaxing to enjoy my lunch in the sun, which was another facility that contributed to the friendly & laid-back atmosphere Bury BusinessLodge has.

Based just a short walk away from the town centre, Bury BusinessLodge was perfect for when I commuted via public transport and was ideal for nipping round the corner to Tesco during my lunch break.

Overall I loved my time based at Bury BusinessLodge! The staff & people working there really create a community feel which is an extremely enjoyable working environment. It is the home of businesses of all different sizes and industries, resulting in a diverse, but thoroughly friendly group of professionals, that made me feel comfortable throughout the period I spent there. The office space and communal areas were exceptional and provided everything I could possibly wish for. It really is a great place to work!
