Here at thebestofbury, we were firmly split into three camps when we heard that Brad and Angelina had split up. Some were #TeamJen, loving the memes which spread across the internet like wildfire, others (Debi) were furiously googling how quickly celebrity divorces happen and the number for Brad’s agent, and some were heartbroken to discover that what appears to be true love on the surface isn’t actually as perfect as it seems.
However (cue this tenuous link), there’s a lesson in business to be learnt from the breakdown of Brangelina and that is that “nothing lasts forever” – unless you work really, REALLY hard.
So, #TeamJen, you’ve been burnt before and you’re enviously eyeing up the competition and waiting for your chance to shine. If you’ve felt pushed into the shadow, remember that “nothing lasts forever” and if you keep putting the work in, it will soon pay off.
Or if you’re an opportunist, like Debi, you’ll have made sure you’re pro-active when your chance has arisen. You put the work in and you can envisage how it will look and feel when you are successful, but remember that “nothing lasts forever” and you need to create a plan to ensure your long-term success.
However, if you’re firmly in the miserable camp, and you’ve given up on success and any chance of happiness, you need to get a grip on reality. Just because it happens to some doesn’t mean that it will happen to you! You need to put the effort in and pave your own road to success, there is no magic spell which can do it for you.
Here at thebestofbury, we work with plenty of successful businesses who work hard every day to provide brilliant customer service, innovative products, and build their relationships to ensure they last.
