Oh what a night!
In the words of The Four Seasons, it certainly was. A fantastic evening where businesses from across the whole of the north west joined together to forge new connections, generate business and enjoy a night of all things business related.
The Made in Bury Business Fair reached new heights in March, making the latest event the very best to date.
In 2018, the fair moved to a new venue, a venue that brought new opportunities for all.
The move to The Stables Country Club proved a huge success with approx 700 people registered and a record number of exhibitors, 90 to be precise. Those exhibitors came from many sectors, solicitors, produce, doggy day care, photography and web design to name but a few.
Sponsors of the event included Bury Council, Connect Comms, Coop, Nettl of Bury and thebestofbury.
The exhibition spanned two large rooms and adjoining corridors, creating a real buzz and exciting atmosphere. It meant a journey through all of the stands that ensured exhibitors received the best footfall and engagement from the attending delegates.
Seminars and speed networking
Included within the event were free seminars that covered topical subjects such as the impending GDPR and social media, delivered by leading industry experts; the feedback has been amazing.
Speed networking proved as popular as ever with 24 people delivering a 30 second elevator pitch to their opposing seat. A real adrenaline rush for all, and albeit intense, many of those involved found huge benefit, and people that could be followed up after the final whistle blew.
Feedback received on the night and since has been absolutely fantastic, with record numbers of business and connections having been generated, as well as really positive comments about the venue, the atmosphere and the most helpful team from The Stables that hosted the event.
Don't take our word for it
Just a couple of pieces of feedback:
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the Expo you put on last night at The Stables Hotel. GEM have exhibited at several expo’s and this was one of the best ones. I don’t think anyone expects to get business at the event. These things are referral generators, but last night a visitor to our stand wanted to know “where do I sign up” - amazing. The number of delegates who attended was excellent.
Footfall through expo’s is important, and to see everyone so busy on the stands was lovely to see. Please book me for October.

NWBizFair18 was well managed and a great opportunity for us to reach a much wider audience making new links both for business and the community. We were able to showcase our business to hundreds of potential clients in one place, allowing us to secure many leads and raise our profile within the wider community. Thanks to all of the team for their help and assistance, making Kiera feel
welcomed – she even had her own name badge. Luke Millington – Stay N Play Doggy Daycare
