Ramsbottom’s Orbis Solicitors is mixing business with leather by sponsoring the annual North Manchester Bike Show, which roars in to the town on 26th September for the first time. The new show succeeds the former Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show, which was Europe's largest one day motorcycle event.
Orbis’ decision to support the show reflects the personal injury practice’s strong links with the local motorcycling community and reputation as experts in handling claims resulting from motorbike and road traffic accidents. Orbis’ specialised motorbike department is headed by Practice Manager, Steven Hulme, a keen Harley rider (pictured) and the firm’s staff have extensive experience of working with motorcyclists.
Orbis, which relocated to Bolton Street from Denton in 2008, was founded five years ago by managing director, Anne Bradley (also pictured). In addition to the bike show, the firm also sponsors Ramsbottom United Football Club and local motorcycle racer, Steven Davies, a competitor in the Michelin Power Cup Race Series on his 2006 Yamaha R6.
Says Orbis Practice Manager, Steven Hulme: “Ramsbottom is a great base for us as the North West has a strong community of bikers looking to enjoy the local roads and countryside. Our motorcycle department is run by bikers for bikers, and we are keen to get that message across by lending our support to this fantastic event.”
The North Manchester Bike Show runs from 10:00 – 17:00 at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, Acre Bottom, with adult admission costing £2 and under 14’s free. Organised as a family event, as well as the classic and modern bikes on show, entertainment includes live music from local band, Zoo, face painting and a bouncy castle.
