Making a return for the 10th year running, from Wednesday 30th May, Paddy Power Betfair will open entries for community clubs nationwide to submit their applications for Cash4Clubs grants.
The grants available range from £500 to £1,000 and this year the Cash4Clubs scheme is celebrating a decade of support for local communities by offering the chance for one ambitious club to win a huge £10,000.
The charitable scheme is open to all local sports clubs in the UK, and has given out more than a quarter of a million pound since its launch in 2008 helping clubs to improve facilities; whether it’s carrying out a range of repair jobs, purchasing new equipment, or arranging specialist training for its members.
The application process encourages entrants to showcase how they would use their grant to make their local club a better place for its members either via a written entry form online or by stretching their creative muscles and submitting a video application. This year they are also given the opportunity to dream big and let us know how they would take the club to the next level with a whopping £10,000!
Entry is open until Friday 31st August with the awarded clubs being announced and presented with their grants in September.
Naomi Totten, spokesperson for Paddy Power Betfair said: “We’re delighted to launch our 10th annual Cash4Clubs drive, particularly as this year we’re giving away a huge prize of £10,000 for one small club with a big idea.
“Sport is an integral part of any community and encourages both players and supporters to keep fit and healthy. Investing in grassroots facilities and local communities across the nation means we are contributing to the future of sports which is integral to the future of our industry.”
