As we come to the end of August, the temperatures begin to drop and the light nights begin to get shorter, it's important that your ponds are in good condition, now and for the winter months ahead.
Whilst the sun and heat bring their own issues, so do the winter chills, and it's as important as ever to
ensure good maintenance to look after your pond and it's contents.
Dave and his team at Ponds NorthWest have a wealth of experience to ensure that everything remains fit and well, from your plants to your fish.
Beginning in Autumn, leaves will fall and if left in a pond can decay and affect the water. Regular maintenance will ensure that it's fit to ensure all life remains healthy.
On winter maintenance visits, Ponds Northwest will look at all of the necessary equipment such as pumps and filter systems and check for bacteria and algae. They'll look at removing dying plants and dividing others such as water lilies. The area will be tidied and any other relevant checks completed to ensure the pond is in its best possible condition. Dave and the team will also offer any advice and answer any questions that you may have to guide you through the months ahead.
A winter check will ensure that come summer, you'll have a functional pond with happy plants and fish to enjoy all year round.
