For the past few years they have been helping Bury Hospice raise much needed funds for the Hospice by giving their time and effort to their 'Christmas Tree collection service' that ran through a week in January. Senior Waste removals are amongst 11 other businesses giving their time to collect your old Christmas tree for a donation.
This year Senior Waste Removals have helped Bury Hospice raise £17,048 and collecting 1322 trees from the local area! This amazing total which even beats last years total of £16,739.03 and 1250 trees collected!
With the help of businesses like Senior Waste Removals the total is steadily increasing with more people using the service to support their local and loved Hospice. It costs £3.5 million a year to run the hospice for the Bury Community and £3 Million of this has to be raised by the Hospice it'self to keep the doors open. They are always eternally grateful for the help and support, and we are equally as grateful for the help and service of the hospice to everyone in the community needing their help. We've all been touched by cancer at some point in our lives and that's why it's so important to keep them going.
In addition to this, Senior Waste Removals were also a Platinum Sponsor of the Santaceptor which is an amazing community project where PC Claus and the Santaceptor travel across the borough playing Christmas music, giving out selection boxes to the good children and basically bringing Christmas cheer! The Santaceptor is followed by a team of volunteers representing Bury Hospice to collect donations. For Christmas 2022 they raised £3340.24 for the Hospice and delivered 2000 treats.
As if all that isn't enough, they are also the Main Sponsor for The Bury Black Tie Ball at the Village Hotel on 8th July in aid of Andy's Man Club which is a men's talking club for individuals who are suffering mental distress and want to talk to other like minded men.
All in all it's safe to say that Senior Waste Removals have gone from strength to strength over the last few years since they started the business and give a lot back to the local Bury community.
