If you are heading down Gigg Lane why not check out Bury F.C’s new graffiti mural.

Bury Youth Offending Service teamed up with Bury FC to create a colourful graffiti mural in Gigg Lane’s family stand.

The mural includes images of footballers, the newly designed logo for Bury FC’s promotion to League 1 and of course their dedicated cheerleaders!

The mural was created by a team of 5 young people as part of an summer activity run by the Youth Offending Service. This scheme encourages young people who have been involved with crime to take responsibility and give back to their local community whilst learning new positive skills.

Laura Sherratt, Bury F.C's marketing manager, said: “Bury FC were delighted to support the project as the clubs prides itself on developing close links with local organizations and supporting young people in the community”.

Liz Norris, Youth Support Officer for Bury Council, said: “This was a really positive activity for the young people, the finished mural looks great and all the participants can see what a difference this project has made to the family stand”.
